Mind Piper is a professional mental health organization that co-creates your therapy experience rooted in 4 simple Cs.

CONNECTION

The therapeutic relationship is the core for any change that occurs and we constantly strive to develop that connection from the first session itself. The modality can be either in-person or online counseling, our therapists make sure that nothing comes in the way of making people seen, heard and valued. And that is why we encourage getting to know the person more, as explained below.

CONTEXT

Where the person is coming from, what their current reality looks like - this curiosity helps us in locating the 'pain' or understanding what is making them feel stuck. This enables us to find the right manner of relating, the language - and how we can best see the world as they see it. It also allows us to design interventions and experiments best suited to make therapy actionable and tangible. As much as we are professional in our approach, we ensure that it doesn’t limit the connection.

CONCEPT

The first two steps help us form an impression of the person’s ability for abstraction and articulation. They give us cues on how we can exchange psychological concepts and build cognitive techniques for healing. Most of such ideas in therapy are directly borrowed from the West and it may not 'fit' well in a person's way of looking at their world. Diagnosis is also one such idea - we do not bring in the clinical jargon in to therapy unless it is necessitated. We extensively use many tools for translation of these concepts such as metaphors, pictures, poetry, and cinema.

The person is always at the center for us in therapy. By implication, we offer flexibility for most factors that affect a person’s therapeutic experience - choice of therapist, the timing of the session, the frequency, the mode, distance, and cost.
